It was a great weekend for top times and improved handicap scores as Eilish McColgan (handicap -2.2) went top of the UK 10km rankings and took 0.1 from her handicap score witha32.32 effort at the Percy Pud 10kand Matthew Sharp (handicap -5.1) took 0.4 from his score as he went to the top of the UK 5 mile rankings after running 23:42 at the Victory 5.

The 23 year old will try to better Kelly Holmes' British record of 2:32.96, which was set in Birmingham 13 years ago, and will also have an eye on Maria Mutola's longstanding world record of 2:30.94.
